I am a poor, wayfaring stranger A traveling through this world of
woe Yet there's no sickness, toil, nor danger In that bright
world to which I go
I'm going there to see my father I'm going there no more to
roam I'm only a going over Jordan I'm only a going over
home
I know dark clouds will gather 'round me I know my way is
rough and steep But golden fields lie out before me Where God's
redeemed shall ever sleep
I'm going there to see my mother She said she'd meet me when I
come I'm only a going over Jordan I'm only a going over
home
I'll soon be free from every trial My body sleep in the church
yard I'll drop the cross of self denial And enter on my great
reward
I'm going there (going there) to see my Savior (to see my
Savior) To sing His praise (sing His praise) forever more (forever
more) I'm only a going over Jordan I'm only a going over
home
I'm only a going over Jordan I'm only a going over home

Spoken Vocal: One of the sweet privileges of being a gospel
preacher is the opportunity to minister to people when they are
walking through those valleys of life, as well as those mountain top
experiences. On Christmas of 2003 I was called to the bedside of a
precious saint in her late 80's who was on her death bed. Her name
was Mrs. Jessie Hill and after requesting that I pray with her, she asked
me to sing her a song. And what happened in those moments as I
beheld her faith, her hope, and her peace inspired the writing of this
song.
I was kneeling by her bedside And her life was almost gone She
was ready to see Jesus Just didn't want to go alone She was looking
over Jordan She could see the other shore Knowing He would walk
beside her And He would keep her evermore
Chorus: She had me sing of "Precious Memories" And the "Old
Rugged Cross" And that when we cross the Jordan We'll not have to
cross alone Oh how precious to our Savior When His Saints are
gathered home She's just looking over Jordan She's just looking
toward her home
Repeat Chorus
She's just looking over Jordan She's just headed for her
home
Scriptural Reference:
"Lot looked up and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan was well
watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, toward
Zoar." Genesis 13:10

How I love the great Redeemer Who is doing so much for me With

be Praising Jesus and His love

(I have been) I have been redeemed (redeemed)
Scriptural Reference:
"They are your servants and your people, whom you redeemed by your
great strength and your mighty hand." Nehemiah 1:10
O sacred head now wounded with grief and shame weighed down Now
scornfully surrounded with thorns, Thine only crown How art Thou pale
with anguish with sore abuse and scorn How does that visage languish
which once was bright as morn
What language shall I borrow to thank Thee, dearest friend For this
Thy dying sorrow, thy pity without end O make me Thine forever and
should I fainting be Lord, let me never, never outlive my love to
Thee
Scriptural Reference:
“They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and then twisted
together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his
right hand and knelt in front of him and mocked him. 'Hail, king of the
Jews!' they said.” Matthew 27:28-29
Chorus 1: He didn't bring us this far to leave us He didn't teach
us to swim to let us drown He didn't build His home in us to move
away He didn't lift us up to let us down
There are some promises in a letter Written a long, long time
ago They're not getting older, they're getting better Because He
still wants us to know
Chorus 2: He didn't bring us this far to leave us He didn't teach
us to swim to let us drown He didn't build His home in us to move
away He didn't lift us up to let us down (to let us down, let us
down) He didn't lift us up to let us down
I read those promises in His letter And now I claim them for my
own Filling my heart and making life better And I just wanted you to
know
Repeat Chorus 2
Never use the word defeat Claim His promises, every one of
them And every spoken word He'll hear Because we're everything to
Him
Repeat Chorus 2
He didn't lift us up to let us down

I, O Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this
far?'" 2 Samuel 7:18 and 1 Chronicles 17:16
Chorus 1: Are you living in an old man's rubble Are you listening
to the father of lies? If you are then you're headed for trouble If
you listen too long you'll eventually die
Are you walking with unnecessary burdens Are you trying to take them
all on yourself? If you are, then you're living in bondage And you
know that's bad for your spiritual health
And are you trying to live by your emotions Are you putting your
faith in what you feel and see? Then you're living just to satisfy your
passions And you better be careful 'cause you're being deceived
Repeat Chorus 1
Are you puzzled by the way that you're behaving Do you wonder why
you do the things you do? And are you troubled by your lack of
resistance Do you feel that something's got a hold on you?
Well deep within you, there's a spiritual balance There's a voice of
the darkness and a voice of the light And just by listening, you have
made a decision 'Cause the voice you hear is gonna win the fight
Repeat Chorus 1
Chorus 2: If you're living as a new creation If you're listening
to the Father of Light Then you're living in a mighty fortress And
you're gonna be clothed in power and might
Repeat Chorus 1
Repeat Chorus 2
Repeat Chorus 1

Father (Here I am) I have come to speak, to live your love for
man Oh and Father (Here I am) I'll take the wood upon my back, and
I'll be the sacrifice
Chorus 2: God gave the Lamb (God gave the Lamb), God gave the Lamb

Son God gave the Lamb (God gave the Lamb), God gave the Lamb (God gave
the Lamb) Through His mercy and His love, God gave the Lamb
Through His mercy and His love, God gave the Lamb
Scriptural Reference:
"Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, 'Abraham!'
'Here I am,' he replied. Then God said, 'Take your son, your only
son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice
him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you
about.' Early the next morning Abraham got up and saddled his
donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son
Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set
out for the place God had told him about. On the third day Abraham
looked up and saw the place in the distance. He said to his
servants, 'Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over
there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.'
Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son
Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of
them went on together, Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham,
'Father?' 'Yes, my son?' Abraham replied. 'The fire and wood
are here,' Isaac said, 'but where is the lamb for the burnt
offering?' Abraham answered, 'God himself will provide the lamb for
the burnt offering, my son.' And the two of them went on together.
When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar
there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid
him on the altar, on top of the wood. Then he reached out his hand
and took the knife to slay his son. But the angel of the Lord called
out to him from heaven, 'Abraham! Abraham!' 'Here I am,' he replied.
'Do not lay a hand on the boy,' he said. 'Do not do anything to
him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld
from me your son, your only son.' Abraham looked up and there in a
thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the
ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. So
Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it
is said, 'On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.'" Genesis

Lyrics:
This is my Father's world, and to my listening ears All nature
sings, and round me rings the music of the spheres
This is my Father's world; I rest me in the thought Of rocks and
trees, of skies and seas, His hand the wonders wrought
The sands of time are sinking The dawn of heaven breaks The
summer morn I've sighed for The fair, sweet morn awakes Dark, dark
hath been the midnight But day-spring is at hand And glory, glory
dwelleth In Immanuel's land
This is my Father's world; O let me ne'er forget That though the
wrong seems oft so strong, God is the ruler yet
Spoken Vocal: O Christ, He is the fountain The deep, sweet well
of love! The streams on earth I've tasted More deep I'll drink
above There, to an ocean fullness His mercy doth expand And glory
dwelleth In Immanuel's land With mercy and with judgment My web of
time He wove And aye the dews of sorrow Were brightened by His
love
And glory, glory dwelleth In Immanuel's land
This is my Father's world, the battle is not done Jesus who died
shall be satisfied, and earth and heav'n be one
And glory, glory dwelleth In Immanuel's land Amen
