Song List

There's Something About That Name
A Wonderful Savior
Medley
If That Isn't Love
I Know That My Redeemer Lives
What a Savior!
Jesus Paid it All
Rise Again
Won't It Be Great?
Isn't the Name of Jesus Something Wonderful?

There's Something About That Name

Words and music:
Lead: None
Spoken Vocal: C.D. Davis

Lyrics:

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
There's just something about that name
Master, Savior, Jesus
Like the fragrance after the rain
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Let all Heaven and Earth proclaim
Kings and kingdoms
Will all pass away
But there's something about that Name

Spoken Vocal:
Jesus, a mere mention of His name can calm the storm, heal the broken, raise the dead.  At the name of Jesus I have seen sin hardened men melted, diralects transformed, the lights of hope put back in the eyes of a hopeless child.  At the name of Jesus hatred and bitterness turn to love and forgiveness, arguments cease.  I've sat beside a dying saint, her body racked with pain, who in those final fleeting seconds summoned her last ounce of ebbing strength to whisper earth's sweetest name, "Jesus, Jesus."  Emporers have tried to destroy it, philosophies have tried to stamp it out, tyrants have tried to wash it from the face of the earth with the very blood of those who claimed it, yet still it stands.  There shall be that final day when every voice that has ever uttered a sound, every voice of Adam's race shall raise in one great mighty chorus to proclaim the name of Jesus.  Ah, so you see, it was not mere chance that caused the Angel one night long ago to say to a virgin maiden, "His name shall be called Jesus."  Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, you know there really is something about that name.

But there's something about that Name
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus

Scriptural Reference:

"Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."  Phillipians 2:9-11

Though (though) the (the) skies (skies) be (be) clouded or gray
I'll praise Him 'til His sweet face I shall see (His face I'll see in glory)
Then (then) while (while) a- (a-) -ges (-ges) yonder shall roll
I'll praise Him in (in) that (that) love- (love-) -ly (-ly) home of the soul (I'll praise Him)

Arrangement: C.D. Davis, Charles Davis, Lanier Stevens, and Randy Green
Lead: C.D. Davis and Randy Green

Lyrics:

Jesus loves me, this I know
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones to Him belong
They are weak, but He is strong

Is your burden heavy as you bear it all alone
Does the road you travel harbor danger yet unknown
Are you growing weary in the struggle of it all
Jesus will help you when on His name you call

He is always there, hearing every prayer faithful and true
Walking by our side, in His love we hide all the day through
When you get discouraged just remember what to do
Reach out to Jesus, He's reaching out to you

I keep falling in love with Him over and over and over and over again
I keep falling in love with Him over and over and over and over again
He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by, oh what a love between my Lord and I
I keep falling in love with Him over and over and over and over again

Tell me the story of Jesus
Write on my heart every word
Tell me the story most precious
Sweetest that ever was heard
Tell how the angels in chorus
Sang as they welcomed His birth
“Glory to God in the highest!
Peace and good tidings to earth”

Chorus:
Tell me the story of Jesus
Write on my heart every word
Tell me the story most precious
Sweetest that ever was heard

Yes, Jesus loves me
Yes, Jesus loves me
Yes, Jesus loves me
The Bible tells me so

Scriptural Reference:

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."  Romans 8:38-39
“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,  6who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time.”  1 Timothy 2:5-6

If That Isn't Love

Words and music: Dottie Rambo (1969)
This song also appeared on If That Isn't Love by Revival.
Lead: None

Lyrics:

He left the splendor of heaven
Knowing His destiny
Was the lonely hill of Golgotha
There to lay down His life for me

Chorus:
If that isn't love, the ocean is dry
There's no stars in the sky, and the sparrow can't fly
If that isn't love, then heaven's a myth
There's no feeling like this, if that isn't love

Even in death He remembered
The thief hanging by His side
He spoke with love and compassion
Then He took Him to paradise

Repeat Chorus

If that isn't love

Scriptural Reference:

"This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.  This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."  1 John 4:9-10

What a Savior!

Words and music: Marvin P. Dalton © 1948 Stamps Quartet Music (SESAC)
Lead: None

Lyrics:

Once I was straying in sin's dark valley
No hope within could I see
They searched through heaven and found the Savior
To save a poor lost soul like me

Chorus:
O What a Savior, O hallelujah
His heart was broken on Calvary
His hands were nail-scarred, His side was riven
He gave His life-blood for even me

Death's chilly waters I'll soon be crossing
His hand will lead me safe o'er
I'll join the chorus in that great city
And sing up there for evermore

Repeat Chorus

Scriptural Reference:

"It will be a sign and witness to the Lord Almighty in the land of Egypt.  When they cry out to the Lord because of their oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and he will rescue them."  Isaiah 19:20

Jesus Paid it All

Words: M.S. Shaffer
Music: Samuel W. Beazley
Lead: C.D. Davis

Lyrics:

Gone is all my debt of sin, a great change is brought within
And to live I now begin, risen from the fall
Yet the debt I did not pay, someone died for me one day
Sweeping all the debt away, Jesus paid it all

Chorus:
Jesus died and paid it on the cross of Calvary (Jesus died and paid it all, yes on the cross of Calvary)
And my heart was melted at His dying call (Oh and my stony heart was melted at His dying, dying call)
Oh His heart was broken on the tree for you and me (Oh His heart with shame was broken on the tree for you and me)
And the debt is cancelled, Jesus paid it all (And the debt, the debt is cancelled, Jesus paid it, paid it all)

Sinner not for me alone did the Son of God atone
Your debt too He made His own on the cruel true
Come to Him with all your sin, He as white as snow within
Full salvation you may win and rejoice with me

Scriptural Reference:

Go ahead (go ahead) try to hide the Son

Won't It Be Great?

Words and music:
Lead: Charles Davis

Lyrics:

Jesus has a place for you and me in heaven
He prepared it when He went back home to live with God
When our final breath is drawn and His last blessing given
We will meet Him in that place and claim our reward

Chorus:
Won't it be great (won't it be great) to walk with Jesus (to walk with Jesus)
Won't it be fine to see that city made of gold
Won't it be grand (won't it be grand) to talk with Jesus (grand to talk with Jesus)
And to hear His story once again retold (retold)

When we get to heaven yes He'll welcome children
Then He'll show us everything He has for us up there
Mansions fine and lights that shine from God's eternal presence
We will sing aloud and praise in heaven so fair
