No Run of the Mill Messiah

Words and music: Danice Sweet
This song also appeared on Best of Revival by Revival.
Lead: Danice Sweet

Lyrics:

Chorus:
He was no run of the mill Messiah, walked the road to Calvary
No average Savior, Jehovah, and Lord is the bread of life for me
No run of the mill Messiah came back to life on the third day
As He promised and said, so He lived and He bled, showing He was the truth, life, and way

More that a prophet and more than just a preacher
He was a servant sculpting souls with His hands
More than a carpenter, more than just a teacher
More than an angel and more than a man

Repeat Chorus

Follow His sandleprints and see where they lead us
Smell the sawdust of the carpenter's shop
See the one and only leper thanking Jesus
Of Galilee and born of divine thought

Repeat Chorus

Once you have seen Him, a glimpse of the Savior
You'll long to see Him each day
His words can help us change our behavior
Satan stay out of our way

Repeat Chorus

No run of the mill Messiah

Scriptural Reference:

"But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, saying that his Messiah would suffer."  Acts 3:18

O They Tell Me of a Home

Words and music as "Unclouded Day": Josiah K. Alwood (c. 1880)
This song also appeared as "Unclouded Day" on Memories by The Sounds of Glory and Praise and Adore Him by The Sounds of Glory.
Lead: Kim Gardener (verse 1) and Charles Gardener (verse 3)

Lyrics:

O they tell me of a home far beyond the skies
O they tell me of a home far away
And they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise
O they tell me of an unclouded day

Chorus:
O the land of cloudless day
O the land of an unclouded sky
O they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise
O they tell me of an unclouded day

O they tell me of a home where my friends have gone
O they tell me of that land far away
Where the tree of life in eternal bloom
Sheds its fragrance to the unclouded day

Repeat Chorus

O they tell me that He smiles on His children there
And His smile drives their sorrows away
And they tell me that no tears ever come again
In that lovely land of unclouded day

Repeat Chorus (x2)

O they tell me of an unclouded day

Scriptural Reference:

"There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever."  Revelation 22:5

My Prayer

Words and music: Chet and Danice Sweet
This song also appeared on Best of Revival by Revival.
Lead: Terri Cheatham

Lyrics:

Was it so very long ago you came to live on earth?
When will I ever comprehend the value of the Savior's birth?

A man with rough, but gentle hands, a carpenter by trade
I want so much to understand the sacrifice the Father gave

And in the silence I can hear a voice that calls to me
Sometimes it comes in loud and clear, sometimes I'm just not listening

The rains have come, the winds have blown, and stronger for the storm I stand
Amazing grace (amazing grace), I've come to know (I've come to know) while clinging tightly to your hand

Lord, help me hear that voice inside, the message coming through
Please take my heart and amplify the love I have for you

Please take my heart and amplify the love I have for you

Scriptural Reference:

"Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!"  Psalm 66:20

You've Got to Go

Words and music: Danice Sweet
Lead: Charles Gardener

Lyrics:

Chorus:
You've got to go, go tell what the Lord has done for you (go and tell it)
You've got to go, go tell what the Lord has done for you (go and tell it)
His mercy never ends and He will always see you through (He'll see you through)
You've got to go, go tell what the Lord has done for you (go, done for you)

In Matthew, Mark, and Luke we find the story of the time when all the water near the land of Gerasenes
The disciples were with Jesus when they heard some awful moaning and the holler came from back behind the trees
The man had lived among the tombs but chains could not subdue him, but night and day he cut himself and cried
Right away the demons knew the majesty among them for the Son of God was easily recognized

Repeat Chorus

The demons that were in him had become so panic stricken driving him out of his right and normal mind
But the previous location must have been so very awful 'cause they begged the Lord to put them in the swine
The plan was not effective for the pigs began a-runnin' and their destination was catastrophe
Once the stampede had got started there was just know way to stop it and the pigs began to fly into the sea

Repeat Chorus

The people of the region came to see the brand new Legion, out of chains and acting like an average Joe
Sitting there beside the preacher and with one outstanding feature - he was actually even wearing clothes
But the people became frightened and began to plead with Jesus, "We were better off before you even came"
But Legion begged to differ and he wanted to go with him -the one who changed him from lunatic to sain

Repeat Chorus (x2)

Scriptural Reference:

"Jesus did not let him, but said, 'Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.'  So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed."  Mark 5:19-20

I've, I've got something to tell that old
Low down, back slidin', joy robbin' demonic disgrace

Move Satan, move on out of my way
Move Satan, move on out of my way
I said get ye behind me Satan, move on out of my way
Move on out of my way (move, move, move) so I can pray

Old man Joel, he was a prayin' man (look now, hallelujah, look now, hallelujah)
He became afflicted, oppressed by Satan's hand (look now, hallelujah, look now, hallelujah)
He tried Joel, destroyed his children, too (look now, hallelujah, look now, hallelujah)
If you have faith in Him, he'll make a way for you (look now, hallelujah, look now, hallelujah)

Move Satan, move on out of my way
I said get ye behind me Satan, move on out of my way

On Zion's Glorious Summit

Words and music: Jennie Wilson and F. L. Eiland
This song also appeared on Prodigal Son by The Sounds of Glory and Praise Service by The Acappella Company.
Lead: None

Lyrics:

On Zion's glorious summit stood
A numerous host redeemed by blood
They hymned their King in strains divine
I heard the song and strove to join
I heard the song and strove to join

Here all who suffered sword or flame
For truth, or Jesus' lovely name
Shout victory now and hail the Lamb
And bow before the great I Am
And bow before the great I Am

While everlasting ages roll
Eternal love shall feast their soul
And scenes of bliss, forever new
Rise in succession to their view
Rise in succession to their view

Sanctus:
Holy, holy, holy Lord
God of hosts, on high adored
Who like me thy praise should sing
O Almighty King
Holy, holy, holy Lord
God of hosts, on high adored
Holy, holy, holy

Scriptural Reference:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty.” Isaiah 6:3

It Was His Will

Words and music: Danice Sweet
Lead: Danice Sweet

Lyrics:

Chorus:
It was His will (it was His will), His Son would suffer (His Son would suffer)
It was His will (it was His will), He'd take the blame
There simply could (could not be) not be another (no, not one)
The lamb of God for us was slain

He had no special beauty, no attraction for to see
Nothing in His appearance, no sign of majesty
Despised, also rejected by men He came to save
Pierced for our transgression while showing us the way (showing, showing us the way)

Repeat Chorus

Like sheep who've left the sheperd, each to His seperate way
The lamb was led to slaughter, the priceless gift was paid
No word was said in anger, no violence had He done
He bore the sins of many, the Father's only Son (Father's, Father's only Son)

Repeat Chorus

Carrying our burdens all alone
The Father turned His head so sin could be atoned
No one to the rescue, 'cause He was on His own
The plan of man's salvation to unfold

Repeat Chorus

There simply could not be another
A lamb of God for us was slain

Scriptural Reference:

"And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,  to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment--to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ."  Ephesians 1:9-10

I Want to Praise Him

Words and music: Danice Sweet and Jaime Testerman
Lead: Danice Sweet (verses)

Lyrics:

Chorus:
I want to praise Him, I want to praise Him
Praising the name of the one proclaimed His love
I will rejoice in Him, I will rejoice in Him

Repeat Chorus

I have tried to praise Him each and every day (I want to praise you, I want to praise you, I want to praise your name)
But my sinful mortal mind keeps getting in the way (I want to praise you, I want to praise you, you remain the same)
Holy Lord I'm offering myself unto you (I want to praise you, I want to praise you, I want to praise your name)
With my armor in its place, Satan can't get through (I want to praise you, I want to praise you, you remain the same)

Repeat Chorus

Got to praise your mightiness, I'm here to confess (I want to praise you, I want to praise you, I want to praise your name)
I could never make it through, you're my holiness (I want to praise you, I want to praise you, you remain the same)
Savior just the thought of you chills me to the bone (I want to praise you, I want to praise you, I want to praise your name)
In this awesome world you've made I won't stand alone (I want to praise you, I want to praise you, you remain the same)

May I ever praise you, may I know your peace
May you come so quickly, all my doubts will cease

Repeat Chorus (x3)

I will rejoice in him

He's Lord of All

Words and music: Danice Sweet
Lead: Kim Gardener

Lyrics:

I'm tired of livin' for Fridays, tired of dreadin' Mondays
So tired of what this world considers right
I just want to make a difference as I travel here below
I want somehow to let this whole world know

Chorus:
He's Lord of all (He's Lord of all) and Lord of me (and Lord of me)
And Lord of everything I'm gonna be
Someday I'm gonna see Him in a place I call home
Someday I'll humbly bow before His throne

If I can only show He loves them, I can show they need Him
If I can show how much He's done for me
There'll be no way to stop them from reaching for salvation
They'll be no way to stop loves overflow

Because...
Repeat Chorus

I will be made perfect, all my imperfections gone
The lamb who died will occupy the throne
We'll all glorify Him, free at last from Satan's wrong
We will all join in the victory's song

We'll sing...
Repeat Chorus

Someday I'm gonna meet Him in a place I call home
Someday I'll humbly bow before His throne

Because He's Lord of all

Scriptural Reference:

"You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all."  Acts 10:36

Lead: Danice Sweet
Spoken Vocals: James Johnson and Chet Sweet

Lyrics:

Spoken Vocal:
"Well there I was sittin' on the beach one day soakin' up the rays, man.  When I looked out on the horizon and I noticed this huge silhouette swiming towards me.  And as it reached the beach it spit out this gnarly little man.  And He walked up to me and said..."
"Hey.  Hey.  Hey man, which way is it to Ninevah?"
"Ninevah?  What was that thing man?"
"Man I just checked out of the whale motel."

Well, man

Chorus:
It was a Whale Motel not even with a view, it was really just a pit
After a three day stay, and prayin' night and day, Jehovah made the big fish spit

Repeat Chorus

The sea was getting rougher and the sailors started sweating but the didn't want poor Jonah to get wet
Jonah kept insisting that the sea would stop its waving if they would throw him in with out a single net

Repeat Chorus

After crying to the Father, prayin' to Him in the water, the sailors put poor Jonah overboard
Fearing for their innocence, they sacrificed in self defense and seafood was provided by the Lord

Repeat Chorus

The first devotional where Jonah prayed was inside the catch of the day (of the day)

Repeat Chorus (x2)

Jehovah made the big fish spit
Jehovah made the big fish spit
Jehovah made the big fish spit

Scriptural Reference:

"Then they cried to the Lord, 'O Lord, please do not let us die for taking this man's life. Do not hold us accountable for killing an innocent man, for you, O Lord, have done as you pleased.  Then they took Jonah and threw him overboard, and the raging sea grew calm.  At this the men greatly feared the Lord, and they offered a sacrifice to the Lord and made vows to him.  But the Lord provided a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was inside the fish three days and three nights.  From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the Lord his God."  Jonah 1:14-2:1
"And the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.  Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time:  'Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.  Jonah obeyed the word of the Lord and went to Nineveh.  Now Nineveh was a very important city-a visit required three days."  Jonah 2:10-3:3
